The 22-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ontario Provincial Police

A 22-year-old man was found dead near Bishop Lake, northwest of Kingston, on Saturday. Two people are being charged with second-degree murder.

In a news release, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said that Cory Finch, 39, of Marmora, Ont., and Michelle Lee Finch, 41, of Stone Mills Township, Ont., were arrested at the scene of the death in connection with the death.

Frontenac OPP said that when its officers went to a disturbance call on Saturday around 6:30 p.m., they found the victim dead at the scene.

They didn’t say who the victim was right away, but they did say that more information will be coming.

Over the phone, a local told CBC that he had seen police at a nearby campground on Sunday. He said that Bishop Lake was “a quiet rural area.”

No threat to public safet

Police say that both suspects have been charged with second-degree murder and will stay in jail until a bail hearing.

The investigation is still going on, and the Frontenac OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services, the coroner’s office, and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are all part of it.

Police say there is no longer a danger to the public.

Bishop Lake is in North Frontenac Township, which is about 80 kilometers northwest of Kingston, Ontario.
