Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey star in an HBO show based on a popular video game

HBO has confirmed that its popular series will continue. The Last of Us For its second season, is moving from Calgary to Vancouver.

The show, which stars Pedro Pascal of “The Young and the Restless,”The Mandalorian And Bella Ramsey of The Hunger Games.Game of Thrones As Joel and Ellie, is based on the popular video game with the same name.

The show takes place 20 years after the end of modern civilization, in a world called “post-apocalyptic.” In the video game series, Joel and Ellie try to stay alive while being chased by people who have changed because of a parasitic fungus.

CEO of Creative B.C. Prem Gill said that the move shows how strong the province’s film industry is.

“Alberta’s great work on season one set the bar high, and we’re ready to build on that,” Gill said. “We have a great crew and a wide range of beautiful places that no one else has.”

The mayor of Vancouver, Ken Sim, is excited to see what city hall will look like after the end of the world.

Sim says that the filming will bring more people to Vancouver “”swagger,” as well as hundreds of jobs and important contributions to the local economy. Sim told a news conference that he and Vancouver’s film commissioner, Geoff Teoli, were in Los Angeles a few weeks ago to show that Vancouver is a great place to make movies “open for business,” and from there the process went on as planned.

The show’s filming began in the summer of 2021 and ended about a year later. During that time, it was filmed in several places in Calgary, like Mount Royal University and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Scenes were also filmed in Okotoks, High River, Fort Macleod, and Edmonton. In Edmonton, vines were wrapped around the Alberta Legislature.
