Iconoclast - (Indie)

Iconoclast

The record runs just shy of 18 minutes. And that's how long it takes for Songs 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 to become Nothing but Hell, Straightjackets, Famous, Blame & Ruin and Unremarkable. Iconoclast's sound evokes the ghost of solid 90s rock and roll, ala Soundgarden, Rage and STP. The EP in particular is more Buckcherry meets Tea Party. Marc Bourgon's vocals blast through speakers with the rage and passion of Josh Todd and the darkness and sincerity of Jeff Martin. Mike Corkum (guitar), Marian Dej (drums) and Mike Korn (bass) display the same diversity as their eccentric frontman throughout the album. These guys got it. (Remi L. Roy)

Iconoclast rocks!

After hearing the new Iconoclast EP I was literally blown away at the shear intensity that this band coud produce. Marc Bourgon's vocals are the core of the band's songs and his abiltities are endless witch can be heard throughout the EP on every song. Being backed up by bassist Mike Korn, drummer Marian Dej, and guitarist extraordinaire Mike Corkum this band has the capablity of running with the big guns in the music industry. This record delivers the hard egded-ness of Black Label Society along with the simplicity and "catchy" melodies and choruses of Nickelback. The tracks that stand out the most...ALL the tacks are outstanding and who cares that there only 5 tracks?I wouldn't be surprised if I saw this band hit the bigtimes and become world famous.Hands down...Iconoclast are the future of the rock/hard rock genre and watch out world because...Iconoclast rules!

I would say so

I got an email from them on Facebook and checked out the link to two tunes. I thought they were very impressive. Especially, the fact they had money to put behind a decent recording. I thought for some reason it was a whole album. Maybe this is just a teaser for things to come. If the rest of the EP is similar to those two songs I heard, this should be worth the purchase. Oh ,and I've seen these guys play live and they deliver the goods.
