Quintron & Miss Pussycat - (Tigerbeat 6)

Swamp Tech
Steve Guimond

The nasty swamp voodoo hoodoo maestro unleashes his latest opus of epic proportions in the wake of hurricane Katrina, the horrific natural disaster that destroyed his New Orleans home, studio and performance space. Accompanied as always by his wife - Miss Pussycat, the most awesome puppeteer/maraca player/vocalist we ever did lay eyes on - Quintron spins yarns of rats, dream captains, squirrels and blobs. The Bayou preacher whips his custom-built synth/organ and drum machine into a disco blues groove, an electronic French Quarter frenzy, boldly going where only he has gone before.

New Orleans Ain't Sinking!!!

Hmmm, I'm definitely intrigued...a swampy hodge-podge of Cajun and Creole blues with disco inflections and an infusion of fire and brimstone for good measure by the husband and wife team of Quintron and Miss Pussycat, sounds like the perfect balm for any bane. Catch them at Zoo Bizarre tonight and Monday evening - I know I'll be wending my way down there to avail myself of their distinctly different musical aesthetic!!!
