Guidelines for participating in OttawaXPress.ca Contests
Each contest is divided into 2 separate draws:
- an open draw: the only requirement is to be a member of OttawaXpress, with a completed profile
- a VIP draw: members who have written contributions that were judged to be ‘excellent’ by our validation team during recent weeks will be automatically assigned to the VIP draw when they enter a contest, with the effect of increasing their chances of winning.
Winners are selected by the luck of the draw on the day following the ‘End
time’. They will be contacted by e-mail and must follow the instructions they will be given in order to collect their prize.
Limit of 1 participation per person per contest. Members may however enter as many contests as they wish.

Rules and Regulations

Winners must come in person to the reception desk of the office or prizes
distributor partner where the auction is taking place (either in Montreal or Ottawa) with a printed copy of the e-mail confirming that they have won the specified prize as well as a piece of identification in order to receive their prize. It is NOT POSSIBLE to receive prizes by mail.

|
It is impossible for us to give a prize if the member claims his prize after the deadline.
|
|
|
Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Proof of identity will be requested when the prize is collected at the reception desk. Minors may participate as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when claiming their prize.

|
|
Participants may only participate in contests belonging to their own region, either Montreal (for Hour.ca members) or Ottawa (for OttawaXPress.ca members)
|
|
|
Any member who breaks the terms of use of this website, either through fraud, false identity, plagiarism, improper language in his or her comments or profile, or in any other way, will automatically lose access to his or her profile and no prize can be won by this member.

|
Communications Voir reserves the right to end these contests without prior notice, in part or in whole.
|
|
|
Communications Voir is not responsible for cancellations or changes in the date and place of a film or show being offered in a contest.
|
|
|
When a contest is cancelled, be it before or after the draw, the prize will not be given nor replaced. When the date or place of a show or film viewing is changed, the prize will be offered to the winners under the modified conditions, which they will be free to accept or decline. But no replacement will be offered.

|
Prizes must be accepted as described on the websites and cannot be transferred to another person, replaced, or exchanged in whole or in part for cash.
|
|
|
Participants can only win 1 prize per contest. If for any reasons, a participant has more than one account, he or she can only use one account to win a contest. We will not give away more than one prize per contest per winner.

|
Communications Voir is released from all responsibility if the participant does not receive his confirmation e-mail due to transmission failures, busy signals, traffic congestion on the websites www.voir.ca , www.hour.ca and/or www.ottawaxpress.ca, malfunctions of e-mail messaging services, and for technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, servers, access providers, hardware or software, whether originating with the sender or recipient; or damage to any entrant’s or other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest, as well as breaches of privacy due to interference by third-party computer “hackers”.

The following persons are not eligible: employees, agents and representatives of Communications Voir Inc., their parent companies and affiliates, the suppliers of prizes, equipment and services related to the contest/auction, and members of their immediate family (siblings, children, parents) and spouses (legal or common-law), and all persons residing with any such employee, agent or representative.
