Criteria for evaluating members' comments

All comments submitted on OttawaXPress.ca are read and evaluated by our validation team. Here are the criteria that we use to determine the level of appreciation that is granted to approved comments and the reasons for which we refuse certain comments.

Approved comments: 3 levels of appreciation

TERMINATION OF THE AUCTION SYSTEM
In preparation for a change in the Contests on Ottawaxpress.ca, it is no longer possible to earn any tokens on Ottawaxpress.ca. Members have until August 15, 2007 to spend their tokens at the Auctions.

Each approved comment is stamped with a distinct level of quality:

VERY INTERESTING comment: displayed on top of the list
INTERESTING comment: displayed in the middle of the list
NORMAL comment: displayed at the bottom of the list

The evaluation criteria are:

	Your comment brings a new element to the discussion
	Your vision of the subject is unique
	Your point of view is personal and goes beyond general considerations
	Your text is well written (style, spelling, etc)

Rejected comments: reasons for refusal

	Please write in readable English. Please double-check your text for spelling errors.
	Please avoid confusion. Make sure your thoughts are clearly expressed.
	Please use your real first and last name. If you would like to win tokens, please be sure to use your real first and last name, otherwise you will not be able to pick up your prizes.
	Please avoid inappropriate words, i.e. defamatory, sexist, racist or rude.
	Please avoid superficial comments. We refuse comments that are so short that they don't allow for proper understanding of your point of view.
	Please stick to the subject of the article or event.
	Please avoid getting personal with any individual person or revealing private information about anyone.
	Please don't use your comment to promote or advertize any product or service.
	Don't post the same comment or review twice.
